Lots done today. Oddly this piece doesn't photo as well as I'd hoped. I think it's a little better in real life. Funny, as most of the time I think my work benefits a little under the glare of the paparazzi, ummm, me. I see some areas in need of tweaking, but feel mostly happy in this process. I'm interested in adding more shadowing to the negative space and adjusting, for the hundredth time, the width of the neck and shape of the bright patch of light on the left area of the face. Always enjoying the challenge of important elements in deep shadow, and, that damn 3/4 view of the head. Creativity and creative use of language go hand in hand in my world, as I choose these particular image challenges. Tomorrow we finish him up. Excited to see the final work.
