Birds on the Letter 4

Well, it's finally happening! 6 months in the making. Two weekends in and I've got a moment to post. I'm at the Spruce Meadows Christmas market with an eclectic and very large booth of fine Art, portraiture, photography, collage, and my brand-y new Birds of a Letter series. A very rocky start juggling a helper shortage and a not serious, but bothersome health issue, but we have prevailed. In large part, thanks to my intrepid friends and family, Brenda Brewer and Tate McCartney. This glorious, visually beautiful, and HUGE market is a first for me. My newest works, Stormlit, a 2 x 3-foot pastel, and Birds of a Letter are featured. Birds are flying, lol. I've been signing and printing limited editions into the wee hours on an absolutely lovely archival paper that takes the ink in a somewhat magical way. These were inspired by a larger version done for a Launch and I have really loved creating 26 individual whimsical birds with a letter within them. They are gift priced, and are in black and white or hand-coloured. Come visit me in the Riding Hall, a striking, fun environment in an actual riding hall converted with a temporary floor, to a lovely market. There are many buildings and tents filled with goodies and the outdoor areas are exquisite especially when the bazillion Christmas lights glow. Message me if you can't make the event and would like to see a bird or two. The market is open today and next Friday, Sat. and Sunday. Mulled wine is just steps away from the booth.
